German energy company and CPO signs 2m euro agreement with Compleo

SachsenEnergie places major AC order with Compleo.

German energy company SachsenEnergie has agreed a 2-million-euro contract with Compleo Charging Solutions, the parent company of Oxfordshire based business Compleo UK, to supply AC charging stations.

SachsenEnergie, a regional energy company and CPO in Germany plans to add an additional 700 charging points in Dresden and Eastern Saxony by the end of 2025 to its growing EV public network.

The framework agreement which runs until the end of 2025 will see SachsenEnergie take Compleo wallboxes and charging stations to expand its public charging network.

The deal includes Compleo DUO AC chargers which are capable of delivering 22kW charging, boast an integrated payment terminal for debit and credit cards and come with load management capabilities.

SachsenEnergie has seen increasing demand across their EV charging business and is therefore investing in expanding and consolidating their EV charging infrastructure.

The new AC chargers from Compleo will help them meet their ambitious business plans over the next three years.

“With the current framework agreement, we are further expanding our proven and long-standing partnership with Compleo,”

says Jens Winkler, Group Manager for Electromobility at SachsenEnergie.

“In particular, the company’s commitment to the continuous development of charging station technology and its services relating to charging in public spaces and residential areas, fleet solutions and payment methods make Compleo an attractive provider for us.”

“I am pleased that we can further expand the co-operation with SachsenEnergie and that this also uses future-proof technology from Compleo. Pay As You Go charging is becoming increasingly important for many people,” explains Alfred Vrieling, Compleo’s Vice President Sales Europe.

“In addition, according to the forthcoming German Charge Station Regulations, card readers must be available at new charging stations from summer 2023, which means the need for payment solutions is also growing.”
