We were thrilled to contribute to the World EV Day by offering free EV charging at our UK headquarters in Abingdon, on September 9th.
World EV Day is a global movement that recognizes the importance of sustainable transportation and the role that electric vehicles play in reducing carbon emissions. As a company committed to driving the transition to a greener future, we are proud to support this initiative and this year we did so by encouraging anyone in the Abingdon area to visit and charge up for free!
From 9 AM to 5 PM on September 9th, all EV drivers were welcome to visit our headquarters in Abingdon, Oxfordshire to charge their vehicles at no cost. Our state-of-the-art charging stations are equipped to handle a wide range of electric vehicles, ensuring that everyone was able to take advantage of this offer.
Clare Nicol, our Head of Marketing and Communications was thrilled to join this years’ celebrations, saying
“We are excited to participate in World EV Day by providing free charging to the EV community. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to engage with EV drivers, showcase our cutting-edge charging solutions, and give a little something back to EV drivers”
In addition to offering free charging, we also had our team of experts on-site to answer any questions about EV charging technology, provide demonstrations of our latest products, and discuss the future of e-mobility.
As the demand for electric vehicles continues to grow, our mission is to remain at the forefront of innovation, delivering reliable and efficient charging solutions that meet the needs of today’s drivers. Our participation in World EV Day reflects our dedication to supporting the transition to a cleaner, greener world.
Our contribution proved to be successful with members of the general public as well as EV industry colleagues visiting us throughout the day for a chat and charge session. It was thought-provoking to meet the local EV drivers and find out more about their charging experience in the area, giving us an insight on public charging and discussing how Compleo could make a difference for local EV drivers.
Knowing that charging time is valuable, we offered each visitor a space to work in our headquarters as their vehicle charges, as well as suggested alternative pastimes, such as a short walk to Abingdon town centre or the shopping centre, making a productive use of their time, which is what EV charging should be all about.
It was a wonderful experience to host our local EV drivers and give back to the community – we can’t wait to celebrate World EV Day next year!
